Xfce : an important building block in the structure of Black Lab Linux.

Shorthand for Xforms common environment, Xfce was developed by Olivier Fourdan in 1996. Interesting that a desktop environment which embodies the UNIX philosophy of modular programs performing unique tasks being such a crucial part of Black Lab, totally Linux, no UNIX allowed here (although the developer is a BSD adherent).
Xfce provides the superstable underpinning for the advanced kernel architectures employed by Black Lab : the combination of rock-solidity and cutting-edge, blazing speed makes BLL the choice of the adventurous distro experimenter and the average user, who just wants to get what they need to do done - FAST!
