OS4 Hardware Roadmap released


Today we are announcing our hardware roadmap for 2013.  In this case a software a hardware roadmap work in tandem.  In this we talk about what hardware advances that will happen.

January 30, 2013

CF drives with Sata Adapters will be released.  These will come with OS4 preinstalled with a persistence file already set in place

February 14, 2013

OS4 compatible wireless hardware will be available in the OS4 store

We will begin selling wireless USB adapters and PCI adapters that are OS4 compatible in the OS4 store

April 29, 2013

Octane Desktop upgrade, the Octane series of desktops will recieve an upgrade path.  Including more RAM and larger hard drive.

May 12, 2013

OS4 compatible web cams and fingerprint readers will go on sale in the OS4 store.

July 8, 2013

OS4 BriQ II will be released replacing the original BriQ series of hardware

September 11, 2013

OS4 Tablet will be released

The tablet will be the first to sport OS4 Mobile as the default OS for installation and will include the Slingshot menu as the default menu.

November 16, 2013

Indigo Desktop recieves its first refresh

More RAM, bigger hard drive

December 29, 2013

OS4 Enterprise Server Slab released

This will be the first high end datacenter device released by PC/OpenSystems LLC, that will target large scale deployments.  Beginning price $5,000 USD
